TUSAL and January 1 Start

I signed up for the TUSAL (Totally Useless Stitch Along) on Daffycat's blog this year.
And so here is my sad collection of orts. They are indeed in a shotglass. I have picked up a cold and sore throat and have spent most of my time reading instead of stitching.

The colored orts are from my Seasonal Exchange that I can't show you.The wrapper (DMC B5200) and the white threads are from my January 1st start. Beatrice talked me into this one. It's not that I don't have several BAP's now, so we will just add another ROFL. - Long Dog Sampler - Bagatelle. The fabric is a gorgeous 32 count evenweave from Silkweaver called Slate Blue.

 Pretty sad start isn't it.

Until next time, fellow stitchers, keep those needles singing.

  3. Hope you feel better soon.

That is one stunning project you have on the go there. I found with the Long Dog Sampler I did (the Mystery Sampler), is that it looked really intricate but was actually an easy and enjoyable stitch. I can't wait to see more progress on both yours and Beatrice's.

  13. A SAD start, you say? Anyone stitching anything on such dark fabric is a hero/ine in my book. Hope you feel better soon, Kathy!

  14. I have a nasty cold too - so right there with you on that - ick ick.

Your start is not sad, and I know it will turn into a beautiful WIP and finish - it is just in its "full of potential" stage right now. ;)

  17. My collection of threads looks pretty meagre but I'm using such a large jar. I'd like to find something a bit smaller.

  25. What gorgeous fabric and it's quite a respectable start on both the sampler and the TUSAL, especially if you aren't feeling that well. That is going to be one beautiful sampler - I look forward to seeing it progress. Feel better soon!
