The frogs have landed

This has been a very quiet week on the stitching front. I seem to have stitched lots and accomplished very little.
I did my ornament for July. This lovely piece is called Tudor Rose and it is from Wren Song Designs done on mystery fabric.

I finished my first bookmark - a really cool lighthouse that Clare from my Fair and Square sent me and left it at home - so no photo till next time.

I completed my squares for Round 8 of Fair and Square but no photos until received.

I also worked on Autumn Leaves and this is where the frogs moved in and settled down. I have accomplished very little because my ability to count seems to have deserted me.
And why am I not surprised that this picture is sideways. That seems to be the way things are going with this piece. I still cannot figure out why blogger is flipping my photos sideways sometimes. They are not that way on the camera or when they are downloaded. It seems to be random.
On the dragon front - he now has a name thanks to Judy. His name is Snap. Judy - you really must come and visit the dragon you named. I am sure Snap will guard my garden for many years to come - now I just need to teach him to pull weeds.
I have just signed for a Christmas/Winter neighborhood round robin on the Worldwide RR board starting in September. I think this will be interesting. Now, I have to decide if I want one piece or blocks to make a wallhanging.
Till next time - someone please come and get my frogs!!!!!

Looks like you've got a nice start going on PS "Autumn Leaves." Prairie Schooler patterns always have such nice fall designs!! Sorry to hear that the frogs are hanging around. Hope they hop away soon!

Well despite the frogs I think you're coming along quite nicely on the PS. It always amazes me at times at my inability to count! I had an episode last night on my PS Weather Wise.
Your ornament looks so delicate. I love it.
I look forward to meeting Snap later this summer!

Yikes! I should have sent the pinkeep I stitched to you - you defininitely would have appreciated it more than the actual recipient does ;-) And you need it right now!

Hi Kathy,

I'm thrilled and delighted to
have had the privilege of naming
your garden dragon. I hope
he likes the name too. I
would love to meet him in
...er...person (?) someday.
He looks to be a very personable
sort of dragon. We shall see
how the logistics work out.

Perhaps you could train Snap
to hiss fire at the frogs when
they show up? Nasty little
critters!

Tudor Rose is so pretty! I've
never come across Wren Song
Designs before. Will have to
check them out.

Cheers!

Hi Kathy,
Your Tudor Rose is looking lovely. It is so delicate.
Love the name snap for your dragon. I just had a good chuckle. My son wanted to know what I was laughing at.
I have known about this side of the family since I was a little girl. It gets a bit harder to go much further back. My Mum's side is easier to find. It's great though when you find something new. - Sandra.

I have learnt that computers do what they want to do and not what you want them to do and getting frustrated, begging them or swearing at them has no impact so chill out and just learn to live with it.

I have also learnt that if someone would make an automatic counter for stitchers they would make a fortune as stitching and mathmatics definitely do not go together. You can either count or stitch but doing both together seems to become impossible for all of us at some point.

Despite the computer and the lack of counting skills however both wips look lovely.

Hi Kathy. So sorry to hear the frogs have invaded your home. I truly do not understand how these mistakes are made. As a friend of mines often says, "Oh, well." We just froggit and carry on! Your TR is gorgeous. How's the nutcracker doing? He's travelled quite a bit in his short life. LOL. You always lift my spirits when you mention him. "Snap", how appropriate. Here's hoping there's not another plague of frogs any time soon.
