I have so many things to share I don't know really know where to start.
First, I want to thank everyone for your wonderful comments on my Fairy finish. I walked around with a swelled head all week. Fairies will be a surprise gift for my great niece who has "selective mutism" and although she doesn't speak sat on the arm of my chair and watched me stitch whenever she could! I am hoping next year to start her on a little stitch of her own.
Hearing you all say such nice things keeps me inspired and my needles smoking. THANK YOU.
This past weekend was my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. My middle sister and I with the help of our families hosted an Open House for my parents.
Don't they look great!
I gave them their quilt. Both my parents were teary eyed and very appreciative.
Here they are trying out their handprints.
It was also my mother's birthday and my sister's 30th wedding anniversary that same day. The next day was Hunter's 5th birthday. It was a crazy busy few days but so much fun!
I have some wonderful stitches for you to see.
Rachel's beautiful Mirabilia RR. I stitched Ivy for her. Her RR is turning out wonderful and her fabric is just so luscious.
Sophia's Band Sampler RR - Teresa Wentzler borders - I stitched "The Traveler". This sampler is just so very beautiful when you see it in life.
I received my replacement stitch from Ruth for the Seasonal Exchange - her first stitch was damaged in transit.
What a beautiful replacement she sent. I love it.
AND -another big finish.
Here is CHN - Snowflake Serenade completed. This was a wonderful stitch but I had some trouble with the fabric. I was having trouble seeing the holes and discovered that the fabric was 36 count and not 32. I was able to do stitch with the help of my magnifier and can add this to the finish pile.
In other news, I had a stitch in at my home the September long weekend. Stitchers wandered in and out over the three day weekend. I even had some overnight guests. There was a great deal of laughter, buckets of food, many stitches and a collection of orts! What fun we had. I, unfortunately, was busy hosting and forgot to take photographs. If you check out Lynn and Dani's blogs you will see we had a blast!!! I am looking forward to next year.
Lynn brought me some lovely new stash - just love stash!!! And the bat fabric is just priceless.
I am on to my next piece. I am hoping to have another big finish in the next week!
Until then, keep those x's crossed and those frogs confused.

Teresa's Heartfelt Stitches
You sure do have a lot to share with us, Kathy!! What an amazingly busy week you've had...
I hope I look as great as your parents when my 60th anniversary rolls around--how lucky you are to have such a healthy mom and dad. And how lucky they are to have that lovely quilt that you made...I know they'll treasure it.
Such pretty RRs you're working on and your CHN is delightful--glad you were able to cope with the 36 ct. fabric. It's tough on our old eyes, isn't it :)
Glad everyone enjoyed your "stitch in"--so nice to get together with all those great stitching/blogging friends...
Wow! What a week and what great things you have to share. Congratulations to your parents!! I hope that my dear husband and I have that many years together! The quilt you made for them is such a treasure.

Goodness, I wish I didn't need a passport to drive up and visit!! Upstate New York....so close to Canada, yet so far away...
Happy Anniversary to your parents! I can tell how pleased they were with your gorgeous quilt.
And lovely stitching here, as always!! (I think it is rather cute that with all of your traveling between Arizona and Canada, you stitched a band from Fortunate Traveler. hehehe)
Glad to see you survived all the celebrations! I'm also glad to hear how pleased your parents were with the quilt. It's such a beauty!
Snowflake Serenade looks fabulous! Will you be stitching on 36ct anytime again soon? At least not with white floss I hope!
Hope you can put those fabrics to good use. I though the batty one was just perfect for some small Halloween finishes.
60 years! Congratulations to your parents.
Those RRs are stunning! You did a wonderful job on both of them. I really like the pixies one.
Glad to see you managed to finish Snowflake Serenade despite the fabric mix up :) It's very pretty.
Sounds like you have been really busy! Congrats to your parents on their 60th wedding anniversary and that quilt is absolutely gorgeous!
I love Snowflake Serenade and 36 ct would be practically impossible for me to see even with my glasses :)

Congratulations to your parents on 60 years! That is a wonderful achievement! Your quilt is beautiful and so perfectly sentimental for the occassion.
Winter Serenade looks gorgeous! I've never tried stitching on 36ct and not sure that I want to! No wonder you were "reverse stitching" so much at the beginning!
Happy, happy anniversary to your parents and what a beautiful quilt!!!! Love all the stitchy pictures too :-).
That's so wonderful! Happy 60th to your parents :o) It sounds like it was a perfect day.
