Good morning one and all. It is TUSAL time again and my little frog is only partly full. I don't really know why. I have been stitching away.
Here is the little guy this month.
I have done some framing - birth sampler, Snowflake Serenade and Summer Stroll. My photo of Summer Stroll is very blurry but I wanted you to see the beautiful frame.
I went to visit a friend of mine who is a very talented quilter and she helped me make my Jardin Prive into a bolster pillow. I love it.
I am enjoying my 4 day rotation so far. I find that I can actually see some progress at the end of each 4 day.
Day 1-4
LHN - Acorn Hill
Day 5-8
Carriage Samplings - Petit Samplings Etui
Day 9-12
Desert Mandala - all the back stitching on the cactus is done and all the beading on part one.
Day 13-16 - for RR's and any other wonderful pieces I can find.
Next up is the latest RR. This is Sophia's Rainbow. I took a photo of her RR before I add my stitches so you can see the difference once I finish the stitching on it.
It is a Celtic Knot RR. I love the look of Celtic knots but they are not easy to stitch. I hope I don't have to frog this one too much.
And then I shall repeat.
I am off to my cottage in Northern Ontario for the next 2 1/2 weeks. It is time for some country living. Our cottage is in a remote area with no internet and extremely limited phone service. I will go into town to the local library to check my mail when I can. I am looking forward to some quality time with my grandchildren, children and assorted family. I have a whole bag full of stitching, my portable Ott lite and my magnifier light to keep my company.
The weather has certainly been the topic of conversation almost everywhere. We have near drought conditions and extremely hot weather with high humidity so far this summer. I hope the weather is a little more normal where you live.
Until next time, stay frog free and stitch happy.

You ORT conserver you! They look great, Kathy!
Beautiful stitching...especially that bolster pillow - wow! I love it so much!
Lots of eye candy! where do I begin? Summer stroll love it - etui is looking pretty - desert mandala is stunning - and I can't believe you turned your jardin prive into a bolster pillow! very fancy indeed!
I really love all your finishes, but I agree that the bolster pillow is AMAZING!! Your rotation really seems to be working well - you sure are getting a lot done!
Those finishes are fabulous! You seem to have the system down pat :)
Have a great time at the cabin with the family!

Oh, your 2 1/2 weeks in Northern Ontario sounds wonderful, Kathy... I'm sure you'll have a delightful time with your family :)
Lovely framed pieces and the bolster finish is stunning! Wonderful job on all :)
All of your finishes look terrific. My favorite is the bolster pillow, probably because I know I could never do that myself! I like the idea of your rotation. Thanks for showing the pictures, I may "steal" your method for myself. Enjoy your time at your cabin!
Such wonderful progress on your pieces Kathy. I'm not quite ready to start this type of rotation but it certainly seems to be working for you.
Have a wonderful time at the cottage. Wish I could join you for a day to enjoy the peace and quiet and some gabbing & stitching.
Wow wonderful framed pieces!!!!
Glad to hear you're enjoying your rotation... see you when you get back!
I just love the bolster pillow finish. What a great idea!
that pillow is such a treat!!
well done!
have fun during your country living holidays.. see you in a few weeks! :D
happy xxx!
Oh, what a great finishing idea for the Jardin Privé piece.
A 4-day-rotation sounds good, then you can stitch some time on each oiece and needn't put it away after one day only, which wouldn't be my choice either. Great projects that are involved.
Have a wonderful vacation!
Wow... Really! SO much gorgeous in one place, I am truly at a loss for words. Love the pillow... and the framing...and the WIPs!
Hi Kathy,
I love your Jardin Prive finish! And such a unique way on top of a beautiful pattern! I am really going to have to start mine soon.
Wow Kathy - you've been very busy...it puts me to shame! Desert Mandala is going to be absolutely amazing. I'm not surprised it's part of a rotation. I think doing it all the time might send you a bit potty! ;0)
Everything is beautiful! I love how the overdye "grass" looks on Acorn Hill and the pillow is adorable. I'm a fan of snowflakes so also loved your finish and framing on that one especially.
Amazing stitching Kathy!! The framing on your stitching is wonderful!! I adore your froggy ort jar :D
You are such a productive stitcher Kathy. There is always so much stitching eye-candy on your blog, it is a joy to visit.
Great framing, and the bolster pillow looks amazing.
I hope you have lots of fun, stitching and relaxing time at your cottage.
Your orts looks great. Lovely progress on your wips. Sounds like your rotation is working for you. Your framed pieces look stunning as does your bolster pillow. Have a great time at your cottage.
You certainly HAVE been stitching! Everything looks awesome, Kathy.
Four day rotation...now there's a thought!
Great stitchiness! Your time away sounds wonderful ~ looking forward to hearing all about it!
Oh! So much to comment on!! I so wish that I could rotate WIPs like that! I am such the Diva, and I refuse to start a new project until the current one is done.
Everything is gorgeous!!! Have fun at your cottage! How great that you can do this with your family. I'm sure they love the memories. And, portable Ott?? Oh, now I must buy one. LOL
Beautiful framing, Kathy. Oh, I absolutely love your bolster pillow. What a wonderful finishing idea. The design is perfect for it too. Lovely WiPs. Your four days rotation certainly is going great. Have fun in Northern Ontario.
Hugs,
Veronica.
Love your finishes! And you're making good progress on your stitching!
Have fun at the cottage!
Hi Kathy,
Mr Frog looks as though he holds quite a
lot of thread inside, out of sight, so there's
probably lots more thread bits that the
camera didn't pick up.
Your framed pieces are wonderful. I
especially love Snowflake Serenade
which has turned out really beautifully.
I love the frame for Summer Stroll best
with all it's detail.
A bolster finish for your Jardin Prive
piece. Now that's something a bit
different. This is such as wonderful
design but it's length makes finishing
it a bit of a challenge.
I imagine you're enjoying your two week
vacation at your cottage right now. Hope
you're having a fabulous time. You
probably had rain at home yesterday because
of a fierce storm that passed down your way.
We're still hoping for rain sometime this week
and suffering from the drought like conditions.
Cheers!
all so pretty. I really like the booster pillow. Amazing
Glad the rotation is working for you!
Your rotation sounds like a good plan; it certainly seems to be paying off for you! I love the bolster and the mandala. Hope you're enjoying your time away!
Nice finishes and wips!
