Fair and Square Received and Stitching update

I got a lovely email from Rowyn this week telling me she had received my Fair and Square exchange. This has been my first exchange and I really enjoyed it. For her I chose a medallion from Paradigm Lost by Long Dog Samplers. I did it on 32 count Antique White Linen using DMC 4240. I embellished the squares with Mill Hill Beads 02026 and added a couple of Swarovski crystals. I used the center of the same medallion for the second square. You can see a photo of the complete exchange on Rowyn's blog. While cruising, I did some work on Noddy and Friends. This is not my favorite stitch as it is on 14 count aida but it is coming along very quickly and there are lots of quarter stitches to help it flow fast.
I managed one day on Paradigm and was able to finish the motif on the bottom right and add the little crab. He is sooo cute.

Yesterday, I dug out my Little Book of Stitches and managed to get some work done on that too.
This snowflake I did going on the bus to San Diego and back again. It is done with DMC 729 and Kreinik Blending Filament 002. I found this pattern in an old magazine and not even sure which one . The page had been torn out. This is my ornament for February - so we are 2 for 2.
Now, the good part - yeah right - my camera is broken and it is being mailed to Canon today for repairs. The flash will not work. Electronic equipment and I are not doing well these days!!! So, no photos for a while until it returns.

Hi Kathy,

Wow, lots of lovely stitchy stuff in this posting. Oh, but I do love that motif from Paradigm Lost, and the colour that you stitched it with for the Fair and Square Exchange.

Noddy and Friends looks cute, and I really love the pink bunnies.

Paradigm Lost has such beautiful big motifs that are so intricate and lacy and at first they dominate the piece, but the little tiny designs of animals and stuff that fill in the gaps throughout the design are the real charmers and when your eye finds the first of them then you can't stop looking for the rest of them.

Lucky you going on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Is there any other type of trip that you can go on that pampers you as much? We did the Alaskan cruise almost 12 years ago and loved it. Gorgeous scenery, incredible meals, and a gracious, beautiful floating hotel. And did I mention those meals!!! And the night time shows put on in the theatres were really top quality, with wonderfully talented people. I'd love to go on another cruise someday.

Cheers!

You stitching is just really beautiful and lots to see here!! I am glad that you ordered Shores Of Hawk Run Hollow. I think it would be fun to Sal on it too. I have a small start on the lighthouse but don't have all the thread yet. I will be so glad when I can have all the threads for this. Debby :)

I love the medallion fair and square that you received. I know I am just going to adore that stitching book when you get it finished, I have seen a few tutorials of these maybe someday I will attempt one, I have a great french book that has patterns that would be perfect for something like that. Your PL is to die for. It's good to see you back around blog land again.

I said "I love the medallion fair and square that you received", I meant the one that you stitched, it's fabulous. I'm a sucker for these types of designs.
