What do you do when you have a cold and cough that just don't quit. You stitch! and so I did. The coughing is still really bad. I finally went to the hospital and they gave me some "knock you on your keister" cough medicine. Well, I'm still standing (grumpy!) and coughing. My throat is so sore from coughing.
Here is my progress on Hockey Santa - there are lots of quarter stitches in this one! I will stitch on this for one more day and then it is time to give Bagatelle some attention.
And I finished my grid for my Mirabilia RR. I have chosen fairies this time and so it says "On the Wings of a Mirabilia Fairy 2011.

The Santa is coming along nicely and can't wait to see the finished RR with all the fairies!
Hope you soon get rid of the nasty cough and start feeling better. My DH had a bad cough that lasted for at least 2 weeks after his cold. He said he was sore all over from all the coughing.
I hope you feel better soon. Santa is coming along nicely and I am looking forward to seeing all those little fairies.
Feel better soon, Kathy!!
Love your Hockey Santa :)
And all I have to say is you use floss to clean your teeth, Alan Jackson is the bomb and granny undies all the way! Left handed...hmmm? I always find "handedness" intersting! Love Kathy, feel better real soon!
Oh i hope your cough gets better soon!
That would be my movie quote too. Floss LOL
Santa looks great. Hope your cough clears up soon.
The stocking is coming along. I am feeling you with the quarter stitches--one of my WIPs has a lot of them and it's frustrating to spend so much time making them on an ornament.
I hope you start feeling better Kathy, good to hear you are resting and stitching though.
Your santa is coming along nicely, so vibrant.
It was nice to read all those facts about you, got to know you just that little bit more. :-)
I have always said that after I retire I was going to open up a shop called Beth's Sit and Stitch! I love what I have seen of your work. I am interested in the Mirabella R R, are they going to be little fairies?
I am used to Mirabella being huge projects.
You must be tired too from all that coughing! I used to get a lot of bronchitis and I remember how much all that coughing wore me out. I hope yours improves soon!
Hockey Santa is really coming along nicely.
I got my smile for the day when I read your workout style in your ABC quiz. I'm with you!
Hope you feel better; love the santa stocking.
Hope you're feeling lots better, Kathy. I can't wait to see what you do with the fairies! Me, I'm needing to get back to my Christmas Sampler......
Can't wait to see how your mirabilia rr comes out - thanks for sharing your abc's, it's always nice to hear of another leftie!
I feel your pain, Kathy--my cold has turned into the flu and my head feels like a bowling ball. Can't even stitch much...
Your hockey santa is going to be great. Quarter stitches? Wow, it has been a long time since I've done any of them--guess I'm getting lazy in my old age :)
It was fun to read your ABCs--we are almost the same age...I'll be 56 on Sunday!
Get well soon! It was fun to read about you!
Boy I can relate to that coughing thing...my stomach muscles hurt.
I hope you get well soon , warm weather should help!
Your Santa is amazing you have been stitching lots!
Take care..Hugs!
Nice progress!! I knew I liked you... we share a similar work out style! ;) We also are an Alan Jackson lovin' family, though he falls a close second to the Big Dog Daddy himself, Toby Keith.
hope that you get well soon. i love the hockey santa progress
Kathy I'm sorry to hear you're still not well!
I'm glad you're at least able to get in your stitching! Take care my friend!
Hi Kathy,
I actually enjoy reading those quirky questionnaires that people pass around blogdom. They always give you a bit more of an idea about the person that you're blogging with.
For the record ... I'd rather do dishes then clean the toilet. So
we'd get along just fine.
Another Mirabilia RR!! How exciting!! I can't wait to see how this one will turn out when all the ladies who are participating have done their share of the stitching.
The fabric looks very pretty by the way.
LDS's Bagatelle is going to look fabulous when it's done for sure!
I'm so glad that Beatrice was able to strong arm you into stitching this one because it's beautiful. I'm sure you'll enjoy working on
it too.
The Memory Keeper that you made up for Missy Ann is wonderful Kathy!!
All those wonderful motifs and sayings stitched in such a lovely range of colors and finished off just perfectly ... to me anyways. I'm glad that you were able to finish this one off so nicely in spite of the cutting mistake.
The picture of your grandsons on Christmas morning contemplating the empty glass and plate that Santa seems to have cleaned off quite thoroughly is priceless.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been so sick Kathy and hope that the nasty cough of doom goes away soon and you start feeling better.
If it makes you feel any better up here in the Great White North its -12 Celsius outside and pretty darn cold with the wind chill factored in. We've had snow on Tuesday night and are getting more on the weekend. Should be fun!
Cheers!
We had a beloved cat named Snuggles - best cat in the universe. I understand how you feel.
Can I come over and have some weiner schnitzel with you?
Can't wait to see more Mirabilia stitching - I adored the last one.
very beautiful !
have a good day
marylin
De gros bisous, et un bon dimanche,
Marylin
Great progress! Can't wait to see more.
Oh man, I hate getting a cough like that! I had pneumonia one year and I coughed so bad I sprained my chest wall. It was sooo bad, the doctor was worried I'd broken ribs but it was just a bad sprain. Ever since then if I get a cough...I will re-sprain it. I dread catching cold!
Feel bett soon dear!
Sorry to hear you had such a bad cough...I say had but is it gone by now? I know coughs can hang about and there is a nasty one going around in Holland too. Get well soon!
Your Santa is becoming a very handsome figure and you are progressing fast. It looks like an involved design too.
Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi
bisous et bon week end !
