I signed up for the TUSAL (Totally Useless Stitch Along) on Daffycat's blog this year.
And so here is my sad collection of orts. They are indeed in a shotglass. I have picked up a cold and sore throat and have spent most of my time reading instead of stitching.
The colored orts are from my Seasonal Exchange that I can't show you.The wrapper (DMC B5200) and the white threads are from my January 1st start. Beatrice talked me into this one. It's not that I don't have several BAP's now, so we will just add another ROFL. - Long Dog Sampler - Bagatelle. The fabric is a gorgeous 32 count evenweave from Silkweaver called Slate Blue.
Pretty sad start isn't it.
Until next time, fellow stitchers, keep those needles singing.

Goodness, no, Kathy! I think it is a mighty fine start!
It's fine! I only had threads from Christmas break but it is a start!
Hope you feel better soon.
That is one stunning project you have on the go there. I found with the Long Dog Sampler I did (the Mystery Sampler), is that it looked really intricate but was actually an easy and enjoyable stitch. I can't wait to see more progress on both yours and Beatrice's.
Nice new project you've got started there - can't wait to see this one progress :D Hope you get over those dratted bugs soon!
I hope you start feeling better soon Kathy, I just got over a cold so I know how you feel. I had two colds in December and it's summer here!! work that out.
Your new start is great, borders are very time consuming.
That is an ambitious piece!! I love Long Dog Sampler. This will be fun to watch grow.
Hope you feel better soon. I think you did pretty well with your ORTs all things considered! My jar looks pretty pathetic in comparison!
That is going to be gorgeous on that fabric. Nice orts! LOL
Kathy,
I love your idea of a shot glass. It is so cute. You have a great start to Bagatelle. I hope you start to feel much better soon. (((Hugs)))
Love the shot glass for your orts! Happy Stitching!
Feel better real soon, Kathy. I think your body wants you to go back to the sunshine! I am so impressed that you are working on 32 count fabric; my eyes rebel now.
Great new start, you could be a late particpant of the Crazy Challenge... ;o)
Been meaning to ask you for the longest time: does that background actually work?
A SAD start, you say? Anyone stitching anything on such dark fabric is a hero/ine in my book. Hope you feel better soon, Kathy!
I have a nasty cold too - so right there with you on that - ick ick.
Your start is not sad, and I know it will turn into a beautiful WIP and finish - it is just in its "full of potential" stage right now. ;)
My collection of thread was pretty sad as well - But I think my frog made them look better lol
Best wishes in the New Year !!!!
Wow, now this is what I call a start! I love big projects and could start one after the other. Bagatelle is gorgeous and it will look fantastic on the dark fabric.
My collection of threads looks pretty meagre but I'm using such a large jar. I'd like to find something a bit smaller.
I love your new start. This is going to be one gorgeous piece!
I hope you're feeling much better soon. I'm fighting a cold myself.
I think your start is just great! Looks better than when I started my 10year anniversary present for my hubby! I had a blob of doesn't look like much of anything in the middle of the piece.
Très beau début !
amitiés marylin
I think that's a fab start, Kathy! Especially since you've been ill. I never feel like stitching when I'm sick. *hugs*
Thanks for joining my SAL! I like that shot glass a lot!!!
Cute shot glass for your orts! Any start is a good start :).
I think it's a great start..
Get well soon!
Hope you feel better soon Kathy. Love the LD you are stitching. What are you reading?
Wow!!! Very impressive, I've never stitched on dark textile, it must be very difficult. Hope you're going better. ^_^ Hugs, Clara.
What gorgeous fabric and it's quite a respectable start on both the sampler and the TUSAL, especially if you aren't feeling that well. That is going to be one beautiful sampler - I look forward to seeing it progress. Feel better soon!
Sorry to hear you've still got Christin's cold! So far I remain cold free!
Pretty, pretty orts!
Great new start with Bagatelle are you enjoying it?
I think its 9 weeks until I come for a visit!
It's a great start! Hope you are feeling better real soon so you can get back to the stitching!
Hi Kathy
