TUSAL and Indecision Central

Hello my fellow stitchers.

I have stitched on every thing I could find and got a lot of nothing done. Do you ever get a week like that? I just couldn't seem to settle on one piece and work with it.

For all that stitching my TUSAL dish is not very full!

Maybe it is because I left my precious martini glass in Arizona and my threads are not drunken orts this time.

I completed the back stitching on my Fairies in the Garden - at least until I ran out of Kreinik. I then stitched a bit on bottom right of the next page and ran out of 270, 271, 272 for the leaves. Hmmm - not good. I will pick these up when I go to Knowledge and Needles this week.

I stitched some more of the wings on the Angel that I volunteered to do for someone else. This opalescent thread is horrible to stitch with. I do not like working on pre-stamped fabric. The chart is impossible to understand.  I am not enjoying this one at all. Ok, have I grumbled enough. I wish I had kept my mouth shut lol.

I picked my Snowflake Serenade and put it back down - not a stitch.

I took out my Etui, ironed the fabric, pulled the threads and got ready to grid. Then I discovered I was missing CC Joshua Tree. A call went out to my dear friend Margaret who will send me off a skein. It is so nice of her to do that for me. To buy one skein would cost me three times as much for shipping and she has offered to pick up threads for me when that happens. She is the best.

I picked my my Sampler des Bouquets. I LOVE this one. It just flows along so smoothly. It is such a joy to stitch. It calls to me often.

Do you notice a pattern of missing threads here? Me too! Maybe there are just too many things on the go and my threads are everywhere but in the project that I want to work on now. I must take the time to go through my threads and refresh my supply.

I have been very remiss in reading your blogs. DH and I also had to go out of town for a few days for a funeral and I did not take my computer with me. I promise to get to those blogs very soon. I miss seeing what you are all up to. You keep me inspired and ohhhh so very busy.

And a little note - my Blogaversary is coming up soon - so stay tuned!!!

Until next time, my stitching friends, I hope the only frogs you see are on someone's dinner plate.

Fellsmere, Florida - Frog Leg Festival - January 19-22, 2012

I had a weekend like that at the January retreat. Then when I got home, PL just seemed to call to me.
Hopefully something will call out to you.

Can't wait to see you!!
BTW, Fairies are looking great!!

Kathy I always have days and weeks like that! I never seem to get anything done. I am a queen procrastinator. xx

Do I ever get a WEEK like that? Try months and months in a row! Total and complete loss of stitching mojo. I'm pulling my hair out as we speak. I hope you fare better in the coming week!

I know what you mean about the pre-stamped design. I tried to do a Candamar design once that was so beautiful but the chart did not have a graph, only a rough sketch of the designs with circled areas and some directions. I never finished it. I hope you have better luck with this one than I did.

I have had times like that Kathy - so frustrating. You have some lovely designs on the go. Hope you get back in stitching mode soon. Hmmm, frog's legs? My husband loves them...me....not so much!

I often have days and weeks like that where you wonder just what you've done for your week but its often followed by an extremely industrious one so fingers crossed thats what happens for you. I love the designs you have on the go especially the fairy one.

I've had weeks like that... having some time but "not enough to work on that" so you settle for something you really don't want to be working on. Hope your mojo shows up soon, at least the mojo to stick with one until you see movement on it! Again, glad you are home....missed you.

Your fairy piece is amazing, Kathy. I love the bouquet one also...you look very productive to me! I've been knitting instead of stitching.....need to get back at my Christmas piece.

Love the frogs! Yep often get weeks where nothing seems to feel right when it's being stitched. I don't get on very well with pre-stamped ones either!

The fairy piece is lovely :-)

Don't you just hate when you're missing threads??? Seems I'm always missing at least a few! Amazing progress though :)

I get weeks like that all the time, Kathy! And I too seem to always be running out of thread (even though I would swear I had at least 4 skeins of every color, lol. I guess I am wrong in thinking that!!!

Picked up Joshua Tree today and will mail it tomorrow.

Love all the pieces you are working on. However - seeing that one of them has the pattern printed on the fabric - oh no, no way, too difficult for me. And then I read that you are stitching it for someone else. Hope she know what a good friend you are!!

The Frog Leg Festival sounds like it will be great fun.

Kathy, I always have weeks like that lol. I think I am currently in a month like that.
Welcome back home. Your pieces are looking lovely - Sandra.

Everything looks great! As for the stamped fabric that you are working on, it looks really pretty, but I can totally understand why it wouldn't be that enjoyable.

PS: I'll pass on the frogs! ;)

Yeah, I've had lots of weeks like that. I call them my "moods". I can't settle on anything and it's not just stitching related either. Some weeks I can't make a decision on anything!
I hope things settle down for you and something calls out to you.
If it were me, I'd be working on that Sampler des Bouquets. It's lovely!

Yep, Momma said there'd be days like this. Maybe it's time to start something new. Just to get you mojo working again.

Your stitching looks great! I hate it when I get like that--I feel like I'm, to quote The Spinster Stitcher, a 300 pound hummingbird, flitting from project to project. :P~~ on the frogs, too!

LOL Kathy sounds like you were thwarted at every turn!!!

I've had those kinds of days, when nothing really appeals. Often, I end up not stitching on anything. I do more reading, and just skip a day. I like your fairies and your angel (even though you don't like it). Keep up the good work!! I hope you find those missing threads!

LOL, I think we all struggle with a bit of stitching ADD at times ;-). Gorgeous projects I especially like Sampler des Bouquets.

The more people I see stitching the Sampler des Bouquets, the more my resistance is being worn down--it is just so, so pretty--love the blues in it!

I think that angel piece would give me fits, too, Kathy--I can't imagine stitching with all that opalescent thread--and on pre-stamped fabric. Ugh...

Enjoy your weekend :)

You have described me perfectly LOL. I counted my wips the other day, 25 of them and all but two are BAPS. (Hangs head in shame). You would think that with 25 on the go that I would not have that problem. HA!!!!
