TUSAL Double for October

Better late than never right.

Here is my TUSAL frog. He is full, full, full and there is lots of fluff. Wanna know why?

My Chatelaine - I took out all the Black Marlitt and replaced it with DMC 310 - fluff.
I stitched a feather in the wrong place and had to remove it - fluff.

and I CUT the fabric!!! I hope I can stitch over it.

My Merry Xmas - her head and hat were 1/2 stitch out and so I had to remove that - fluff

I stitched his suit in the wrong color. It was supposed to be red and I stitched it in green - fluff

The latest Mirabilia RR - I had to unstitch most of her neck and redo it - fluff!

Christmas Elegance - Mirabilia

My frog is happy but I am ready to retire from stitching.

This is my container after my 6 month stint in Canada. We are getting ready to pack up and head to Arizona for the winter. Back to the martini glass and a fresh start - hopefully frog free.

And I have a second TUSAL container.
This one comes from my sewing room.

My mother who is 78 cross stitched these blocks for her youngest granddaughter and asked me to make them into a quilt for her. This is what I came up with. I designed it myself.

Mom's beautiful cross stitched blocks
Disappearing 9 patch

Well, that's it for this post. I have lots more to share - next time.

Quit fluffing around Kathy. Time for you to do some serious quilting and then when you come back to your stitching, it will all work out just fine. Have a good trip to AZ

What a wonderful gift for the GD. How special that you and your mother created it together. I am sorry you ran into so much frogging. That is the pits!!

Oh no, so sorry to hear about your visit from the pesky frogs! It's so disheartening, isn't it? Chin up, your quilt is beautiful.

Well hi there my fluffy friend. At least no one can say you haven't been stitching. :)

Love the quilt you made with your mom's cross-stitched squares. Your niece is a very lucky girl.

Have a save trip south.

A gorgeous quilt. That frog really needs to go somewhere else I think you have had more than your fair share of frogging.

Sweet WIPs! Nice progress on all of them, even with the frogging. ;) The quilt that you made with your mom's stitching is lovely--I'm sure your niece will treasure it.

Have a safe trip to AZ!

I'm sorry to hear about all the frogging. Sometimes it seems like get a run of it and makes us want to throw the stitching in the corner.

That quilt is really pretty with those blocks. It will make a wonderful present for her granddaughter!

I say take that darn frog and throw him out the window enroute to AZ (preferably somewhere in the desert!!)... So sorry for all the fluff, Kathy, but I'm sure you're on the right track now.

Have a good trip to the sunny southwest!!

Okay, maybe you better call the exterminator! That is a PLAGUE of frogs!

Oooo, cut the fabric! Ouch! Maybe iron on interfacing on the back side?

I love Franny's phrase "Quit Fluffing around Kathy". You sure have been fluffing off! Ha! I'm sorry to hear that you have had so much fluffy frogging. I hope that is all behind you now and you have Frog-free stitching from here on out. All of your stitching's look lovely. Especially love the block you did on Linda's RR. Stunning! And that quilt! LOVE IT! So nice of you to create a quilt around those beautiful stitched roses.

My God, that's a lot of fluff! It's like living with Clarisse. Hope those frogs head north and freeze all winter! Despite all that, you got an awful lot accomplished, my friend.

What a beautiful quilt! I love the pattern and the way it brings out the colors in the embroidery. As for the frogs, leave them behnd to deal with the cold weather! Maybe they will succumb? Safe travels!

Not very lucky with your stitching lately, huh. But after so much bad luck a lucky stitching stretch must be right around the corner.
That quilt looks gorgeous! Here at least there was no frogging involved, lol.
Have a safe trip.
