Oh What a Party!

In a recent post I had made a comment about a frog sitting on my shoulder and that most of what I had stitched had to be unstitched.

Well, I got the funniest package from Harmien. She sent me an envelope full of frogs. The thread is called  "Flipping Frogs". She suggested that maybe if they all partied together they would leave me alone. She apologized because there wasn't room in the envelope for the booze.  I provided the booze and this is what happened.

The wooden frog has now taken up residence on the side of my ort jar right by my elbow. He's a jealous fellow and I haven't had a visit from the frogs since.

Thank you so much Harmien for lifting my spirits and making me laugh.

Aren't stitching friends the best!!!!!!

LOL What a great package! Make sure you stay out of that booze or more than frogs might come to visit your stitching. :o)

Yes - far better to have the froggies where you can see those rascals and make sure they're not bothering you!

What a fun packet of froggy goodies, they look like they are having a very good time. So glad they are enjoying each other and leaving you alone. The wooden one that hangs on your ort container is a cutie and sounds like he takes his job of protecting you from the other frogs seriously. I was pleased to read your son did so well with the surgery, hopefully he's totally recovered soon.

Awwww, isn't Harmien sweet? I'm so happy the frogs got sidetracked by good company and booze!

Those frogs are just too funny! I don't know where Harmien found them but they sure are cute. And best of all, they've helped keep the others at bay.
I love all your new stash on your previous post. Those magazines were a great find.
As for uploading photos on Blogger, I find that is the most time consuming part of posting. I hate it too!

Hi Kathy,

What a hoot!! That wooden frog is very cool and those little froggy
tags are cute as can be. The
thread color is quite a pretty
shade of green. Can't say much
about the booze since I don't
drink, but do you really think
that alcohol and amphibians are
a wise mix?? What if they were
to get loose??

Your Ort jar is very pretty
Kathy. I need to find myself
a nice Ort jar too. I have
been keeping my eyes open when
ever I visit a thrift shop or
rummage sale but so far nothing
has tickled my fancy. But I'll
keep looking.

I love the wonderful project bag,
pincushion and scissor case that
you received from Sandra in your
private exchange. What a lovely
set to use and to treasure. The extra goodies that she sent along are wonderful too. You can tell
that she put a lot of thought and
care into creating this exchange
for you.

That lighthouse biscornu pattern
is so amazing. The design looks
to be very detailed. How big
would this be when stitched up??

You won a wonderful pile of
stitching magazines off of Ebay
indeed. You've got me wondering
what the early Prairie Schooler
design looks like. Bet you had
a wonderful afternoon browsing
through these.

We've had such fabulous weather
here in the past week, did you
hear??? The Easter long weekend
was more like the May 24th long
weekend weather wise, which is
unbelievable. Trees and bushes
are sprouting leaves already and
the grass is greening up. Don't
think we'll have to worry about
the traditional April snow storm
hitting us this year. Just rain
for this week.

You'll be heading home soon I
expect. Hope the nice weather
hangs around for you to enjoy.

Cheers!!
